The city of Bariloche is located in the western part of the Rio Negro region in Argentina. It is often called ‘San Carlos de Bariloche’, as it was named after an early pioneer (Carlos Wiederhold) along with the word ‘Vuriloche’ which means ‘people from behind the mountain’.
