• Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge) – This 204 metre long wooden bridge lies across the Reuss River and dates back to the year 1333. • Mount Pilatus – Situated near Lucerne, Mount Pilatus has the longest track in Switzerland and the biggest suspension rope park in Central Switzerland. Ride in a cogwheel train up to the summit and enjoy the unforgettable view over the surrounding mountains and lakes.

February’s carnival features the biggest celebrations in the country, with six days and nights of partying throughout the city centre. Then from mid-August to mid-September, the city hosts one of Europe’s most prestigious classical music events - the Internationale Musikfestwochen Luzern.
