Torres del Paine is a collection of mountains and lakes squeezed  between Argentina and the Pacific ocean in Chilean Patagonia, not far from where Chile turns east at the bottom of the continent. The Torres del Paine are enormous triangles of rock, all types of swirls and giant structures from, at all altitudes, as masses of air run into the immovable wall of the Andes. There are glaciers everywhere in the hills although it almost never snows at ground level. The wildlife in Torres del Paine looks like no other, there are flamingos, foxes, hawks, duck, guanaco, puma, horses and hares.

Regional Hotspots:

• Torres del Paine National Park – is one of the most spectacular national parks in the country. In a beautiful setting, you’ll see a variety of plant and animal species, which is why it is so popular for hikers and ecology-lovers and adventurists alike. Snow-capped mountain peaks, cascading rivers and waterfalls, glaciers and mirrored lakes makes this a place for excitement and adventure.
• Perito Moreno Glacier – is 85 km from El Calafate and offers superb scenery. The continuous landslides and constant noise of the Glacier will make this trip unforgettable. The Glacier has a front of 4km and a lake of 65km with a height of 60-80metres reaching peaks of 100 metres above lake level.
• Grey Lake – is a beautiful show of nature for all to see.  Its waters and the Paine Mountain behind it, turn it into a postcard worthy picture.  It has more than 500 metres of depth, surrounded by incredible rocky attractions. It was born from the Southern Patagonia Ice Field, and is the birthplace of huge icebergs detachment from Grey Glacier. Its gray waters are ideal to practice kayak and canoe, amongst other activities.
• Patagonia - offers one of the most beautiful and dramatic sceneries in the world. Breathtaking glaciers, the endless Andes mountain range with its imposing granite peaks, coloured lakes, fauna like penguins and whales and a place not to be missed when you’re in South America. Patagonia still remains a wild, mysterious, unexplored and beautiful place to visit. You will also find galleries that feature the work of local and regional artists and charming downtown shops. The Nature conservancy’s Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve and Patagonia Lake State Park are known worldwide for the 300 species of birds that migrant through or nest along their creeks and waterways.
