In German it’s called Karlsbad, in English it’s Carlsbad, but the city of Karlovy Vary, founded in 1350 by Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, is one of the Czech Republics world famous spa cities. Visited by a list of well-known people, including Casanova, Mozart, and Beethoven, Karlovy Vary is famous for its large selection of hot springs and the warm water of the Tepla River.
