In German it’s called Karlsbad, in English it’s Carlsbad, but the city of Karlovy Vary, founded in 1350 by Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, is one of the Czech Republics world famous spa cities. Visited by a list of well-known people, including Casanova, Mozart, and Beethoven, Karlovy Vary is famous for its large selection of hot springs and the warm water of the Tepla River.

• Mill Colonnades – the most beautiful of the many colonnades in Karlovy Vary. Its 130 metres long and covers five hot springs. 
• Moser Glass Factory – this is a must-see for anyone who loves Czech crystal and glass. The high quality glass products are hand-made in a range of shapes and colours.
• Becherovka & Jan Becher Museum – The Museum has tours showing the making of Becherovka, the popular Czech bittersweet liquor.
• St. Mary Magdalene church – this Baroque style church is one of the most well-known monuments in the city.

• Sample one of the many Thermal Springs with water temperatures ranging up to about 70°C.
