• Saint Bartholomeus' Cathedral – A gothic building constructed in the 14th and 15th century, this church was used to crown Emperors between the 16th and 18th centuries.
• Commerzbank Tower – The largest skyscraper in Europe, the tower is 56 stories high.  With no observation deck, the public is able to visit the top floor if they have permission from a member of staff from the building. 
• Frankfurt Römer – The Frankfurt Römer was converted to the city hall in the 15th century, but was destroyed in the II World War.  The building was quickly restored and now houses 52 oil paintings of the Emperors who ruled between the 8th and 19th century.

• Museumsufer – To the south of the Main River is the museum embankment (Museumsufer).  It features 13 museums – the most prominent being the Städel art gallery. The Städel houses over 2,700 paintings from the 14th to 20th century, over 100,000 drawings and prints and 600 sculptures.
• Alte Oper – Built in 1880, the Opera house was destroyed in II World War.  Rebuilt in 1981, the Opera house is now a concert hall.
• Culinary Specialties –Frankfurt’s culinary specialties include; the Frankfurter Rindswurst, a sausage made of pure beef; the Frankfurter Kranz, a cake filled with butter cream and covered with caramel brittle nuts and Ebbelwoi, a type of apple cider which is popular in the region.
• Shopping – Frankfurt offers many shopping possibilities.  Some of the most important are; Zeli, the most frequented shopping hot spot of Frankfurt with all of the major retail chains present; and Goethestraße alley for label brands and big spenders.
