• The Gothic Cathedral de la Santa Creu – Dating back to the 13th century but not completed until the 18th century, this grandiose cathedral has 29 lavishly decorated side chapels.

• Barceloneta – First inhabited by fisherman, this harbour side village is a complete contrast to Barcelona.  Its narrow streets are said to hold some of the best restaurants for tapas and seafood in all of Barcelona.  It is now also one of the liveliest beachside locations of the city.
