Regional Hot Spots:

• Tenerife – a fascinating island which offers a little piece of everything.  The island has exotic flora and fauna, fantastic beaches and coves, lush forests, deserts, mountains and volcanoes.  Famous for the awe inspiring Mt Teide, often snow capped, a dominating and impressive sight.  This island is popular with sun seekers and outdoor enthusiasts offering great walking, climbing and also marine activities such as scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing etc.
• Gran Canaria – The capital of the Canary Islands is another popular tourist destination for its ideal year round climate given its location and abundance of beaches and resorts.  One famous beach is at Maspalomas where you will be amazed by the Sahara like sand dunes and from where you can indulge yourself with a camel ride.  You can also visit the Casa de Colon Museum in the main city, which aims to promote awareness of the history of the Canary Islands. During the month of February see the island come alive during its fabulous Rio style carnival.
• Lanzarote – remains the most volcanic in appearance of the islands and is famous for its black sand beaches.  The lunar landscape makes for a stunning contrast to the other islands.  It is popular with tourists given the fantastic year round climate.  On Lanzarote you can visit the longest volcanic tunnel, Atlantida Tunnel, over 7KM long.  You can also find some stunning white sand beaches on the island at Playa Blanca and Papagayo. Given restrictions on development on the island it is popular with families and visitors wanting a less frenetic holiday than on the other two main islands.
