Montpellier sits close to the Mediterranean Coast in the very south of France. It is not a large city but very welcoming, vibrant and bursting with French history all the way back to Roman times. Situated close to the coast it is perfect distance to some beautiful isolated beaches and makes it a great destination for both short and medium stays.

• Saint Pierre Cathedral – This 14th century cathedral has an impressive canopy and is the seat of the Archbishops of Montpellier.
• The Place de la Comédie – one of the main points in the city and the largest pedestrian area in Europe. See the main fountain (Three Graces) 
• The Triumphal Arch or Porte du Peyrou, this copy of the gates of Pairs was completed in 1692 and has inscriptions praising King Louis XIV and the major events during his reign.
