Regional Hotspots:

• Avignon –This city is known for being the residence of seven French popes throughout history and features the stunning 14th century Palais des Papes (Popes Palace).  The city is also home to the Pont d’Avignon the medieval bridge erected in the 12th  century.
• Cannes – Set along the shores of La Napoule Bay, Cannes popularity is owed to its scenic surrounds and year round festivals and events.
• Nice – Located on the Mediterranean coast and enjoying mild and sunny weather year round Nice is a popular resort area.    
• Marseille – the capital of the region, Marseille is recognised for its strong Opera music tradition.  An important sea port, Marseille is also renowned for the Provençal speciality dish - Bouillabaisse.    
• Grasse – home to over 40 perfumeries, some of which are open to the public – Grasse is known as France’s most important centre for perfume production.
• St-Rémy-de-Provence – famous for inspiring Vincent van Gogh, the town features a walking trail which highlights the landscapes that once inspired the great painter.  The town is also home to many ancient Roman ruins and was the birthplace of Nostradamus.
