• Santa Maria Assunta Church – Located in Flavio Gioia square, the church features a Dome made of colourful majolica (tiles). A collection of important art works is exhibited inside the church including "Circoncisione" by Fabrizio Santafede and the famous Bizantine wooden panel, depicting the Virgin Mary and Her Child.

• Festivals – Like many of the towns on the Amalfi Coast, Positano is home to many annual festivals.  On the evening of the 15th of August the – Sbarco dei Saraceni festival is held.  This is a re-enactment of an old pirate attack on the beach of Positano.  A summer music festival is held between the months of June – September. In early spring, the Cartoons on the Bay festival is held.  This festival features short animated films along with concerts on the beach. 

Secrets of the City:

• Montepertuso – Situated about 3 kilometres from Positano is the sleepy village of Montepertuso. Perched on a cliff 1000 feet above sea level and lost within the olive groves – this small town is known for the huge hole which lies in the mountain – it is said that there is only 3 like this in the world. 
• Nocelle – Noted for its walnuts and hazelnuts, this town of Nocelle is another quaint town located further above Montepertuso.
