• Duomo di Sant'Andrea - Built in the 9th century, the Duomo is a glorious centre piece to the town’s Piazza and is one of the town's greatest attractions.
• Chiostro del Paradiso – Built in the 13th century, the Chiostro del Paradiso was created as a cemetery for prominent citizens of Amalfi.  This glorious piece of architecture has 120 marble columns which produce beautiful rays of light from between the arches.

Experience:

• The Emerald Grotto – 5 kilometres west of Amalfi is the Grotto of Smeralda.  Hidden for centuries, it is one of the most famous caves of Italy, and takes its name from the sparkling blue and green waters.
• Valley of Ferreira & Valley of Mulini – Take a walk to the ancient industrial areas of Amalfi which were home to many paper mill’s.  The valley of Ferreira is now a beautiful nature reserve featuring distinctive flora and fauna.  Whilst the valley of Mulini is now home to the museum of hand-made paper. 

Secrets of the City:

• Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republic – Held usually in June, 4 teams compete in a representation of ancient republic times. The event however is shared and thus only occurs in Amalfi once every 4 years.
