Pellicer wanted to preserve the monuments that were discovered in ‘la venta’ and organized to move them into the state capital Villahermosa. The route and location of sculptures in the museum are supposed to be the same as originally found on site and to present them in their natural setting surrounded by native trees and animals.
• Spend a day at Tomas Garrido Canabal Park and enjoy the magnificence of this park from the 165 feet high Mirador de Las Aguilas. Enjoy the fresh air whilst taking in the beauty of the ‘lagoon of illusions’ and the rush of the city. The park has interesting facilities such as museums, an excellent zoo fountains, show stages and convention rooms among many other facilities.
