Puno is a city in south-eastern Peru, located on the shore of Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. Puno has been named the ‘folkloric capital of Peru’ due to its wealth of artistic and cultural expressions, particularly dance. Experience: Isla Taquile’s clear blue lake waters and distant snow-capped mountains. Located approximately 25 kilometres from the shore of Lake Titicaca, this scenic island is known for its friendly inhabitants. Cerrito de Huajspata is a monument of the Incan Empire and is 45 metres high found west of the city and provides a fantastic view of the city and Lake Titicaca from here. A pleasant stroll to Parque Pino will give you a great day of exploring this area which was built in 1901 and is connected to the larger Plaza de Armas of Puno.
