Emeco Travel did a superb job in all aspects associated with our holiday in Egypt.
The 3 separate guides patiently explained to us the history & culture of Egypt
in general with detailed discussions on Religious beliefs at various Mosques &
explained how these restrictions affected their way of life & future aspirations.
Whilst there is an obvious police & army presence we did not at any time feel unsafe.
The general public were extremely friendly & our guides enabled us to converse through
them when shopping or just experiencing the general atmosphere of the areas, & made each
encounter a pleasure. The private guide/car/driver was an excellent choice for the holiday
and I would like to thank Pauline for her guidance in our decisions.

The complete trip was perfect, all I wanted it to be.
I had waited 30 years to make the trip to Egypt.

We chose the President Hotel in Cairo (which was the cheapest option) and our
first hotel stay (2 days) was in a very ordinary room - a bit dirty, shower
dribbled out, air conditioning hardly worked, cockroaches in the bathroom etc.
After the Nile Cruise I asked for a different room - that room was much better
- the bathroom had been re-done and we had a small balcony. Maybe the
management is gradually improving the hotel and we were unlucky with our first
room. (The first room was on the top floor, the second room - 2 floors below).
The cruise was wonderful. During the Turkish tour the worst hotel was at
Pamukkale. The hotel was very full and the food for breakfast and dinner was
poor. We loved the hotel in Istanbul - great location in the Old City and a
great breakfast. We also enjoyed the Turkish night out.
We would not hesitate to use Tempo tours again. The pick up service at the
airports were excellent and all the guides were well informed and easy to get
along with. The driver in Turkey took no risks and drove safely during some bad
weather conditions.
The Presidential Cruise was a welcome change from the filth and traffic in
Cairo. The boat was very clean, comfortable and the food was of a high
standard. We were aboard at Easter time and everyone received a large and some
small eggs when our bed was turned down. A nice surprise, as was the free
cocktail party before our excellent evening meal.
Thank-you for organising such a memorable holiday.

The whole experience was fantastic. All the guides spoke excellent English and
were very friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed the private sightseeing
in Cairo as we were able to tailor it to out needs. The Emeco travel people
were very efficient and organised everything - even got out boarding passes for
the plane trips so we didn't have to wait in line. We loved the freedom that
the tour provided where we were not stuck on a bus with 30 other people. Our
minivan in Cairo gave us great views and was very comfortable for the 4 of us.
I have already recommended Tempo to other friends thinking of travelling to
Egypt. Thank you so much.

I was very happy with the trip. Emeco seems to run a very professional
operation. I booked several extra day & evening trips with them whilst I
was over there. All the guides were very good but George (from Aswan to Luxor)
was the best. Very glad we had him for that section. He had studied Egyptology
for 4 years but gave it to us in manageable bites. Was also very good at
looking after us. He was certainly a level above everyone else. Overall was a
fantastic experience.

Dear Sir,
This letter is to express my heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful holiday I
had in Cuba. Each day from the 15th Dec to 23rd Dec was filled with interest.
The courtesy, care and good humour of my two companions driver ADOLFO
ECHEVARRIA MARTINEZ and guide GUILLERMO RODRIGUEZ MENA plus the fact that I
was driven around in a very comfortable taxi, made this holiday for a 83 year
old a very wonderful occasion indeed. One I shall never forget.
Next year early January, after spending a white Christmas in Canada (2008), I
intend to visit Cuba again. Of course I'd very much like to have the same
driver and guide again if possible.
I also must commend Sherri from the Flight Centre Gawler. She was most diligent
in making things run smoothly.

Our Nile in Style tour was a wonderful experience and lived up to our
expectations in every way. The guides were fluent and knowledgeable and had
great personalities. Everyday we were stunned by the richness and diversity of
the Egyptian heritage.
We would suggest however that you consider adding an extra night to the tour at
Luxor to allow for the visit to the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the
Queens to be separated from the visit to the temples of Karnak and Luxor and
done over two days. An extra night in Luxor would also allow some time to see
the city and perhaps visit the museum.
Visiting these sites on the one day starting at 7.00am and finishing at dusk
was a marathon not all could complete. Six people (much younger than us) opted
out at lunchtime because they had enough. This is a high percentage out of a
group of 16. General consensus was that it was too much to attempt in one day.
Many of us had it listed as 2 days on our itineraries from a variety of
companies (not just Tempo) and found this the most disappointing aspect of the
trip.
From our point of view an extra night's accommodation added to the cost of the
trip would have been a small price to pay for a much better arrangement to
avoid putting all these sites into a one day visit.
All in all it must be said that the organization and service was of a very high
standard and our trip was one never to be forgotten.
We have travelled with Tempo in the past and have no hesitation in recommending
their service.

TRAPSATUR (Spanish Operator) very good. We were the only English speaking
passengers and got the same commentary as the Spanish speakers. It was actually
better than being on an all English speaking tour ex England (say). Local
guides, tour guide (Carlos), bus driver (Julio) were all excellent. Content of
tour, history and culture discussions were great.

A well organised tour that felt personal and private. We loved it. It took us to
places we would never have discovered on our own.
When you arrive in Frankfurt and are instructed to go to Deutsche Touring Ltd,
you should give clearer instructions on what to say. We tried giving our Tempo
booking number etc, and the people working there spoke no English. We also
didn't realise that you couldn't pick your documents up the day before the tour
began.
Everything was perfect and we will definitely use Tempo again! The
accommodation had so much character.
Very, very happy.

I am widely travelled usually preferring organised tours but because I wanted to
explore the Greek Islands independently, I chose Tempo Holidays. Their services
were excellent in every way and at times went the extra mile. Their transfer
agent in Crete gave special assistance when my late afternoon flight to Rhodes
was suddenly cancelled, when we arrived at the airport. There was a flight to
Rhodes by Cyprus Air, which I could not have caught without the skills of the
Tempo Holidays representative. Again, the transfer person at Rhodes waited (and
I assumed he must have checked if I caught Cyprus Air) because he was there to
greet and transfer me to the hotel even though it was around midnight. I take
my hat off to Tempo for a job well done. Thanks, it made the holiday perfect.

With our very extensive 25 day trip and flying every 3-4 days I did wonder if
everything was going to go to plan.
All the pre-organisation went like clockwork. A car and guide met us at every
new airport with an itinerary of pick up times for tours and transfers back to
the airport. Our personal tours and guides were fantastic very knowledgeable
with good English. Our bronze level hotels were great usually 30-50 rooms
which meant very personal and friendly service, rooms and bathrooms were a good
size too.
Flying LAN was great. All planes were on time and early if all checked in. We
would recommend Tempo Holidays independent style of travelling because you are
not in a large group, but absolutely everything is prearranged.
