When visiting Luxor's amazing West Bank the Valley of the Kings Tour will also awe and inspire you. The Valley of the Kings Tour will always form part of the sightseeing on any Nile Cruise, but if you are simply visiting Luxor then Tempo Holidays can also arrange a privately guided Valley of the Kings Tour for you.
The Valley of the Kings in Upper Egypt contains many of the tombs of pharaohs from the New Kingdom, including Tutankhamun and Ramesses the Great. One of the dilemmas for the normal tourist is trying to decide which tombs to enter. The normal ticket permits three tombs and that will probably suffice for one visit. If you rush, you won't appreciate or remember the details of each tomb. The tomb of Tutankhamun requires a separate ticket. Some tombs may be closed for restoration when you visit but whichever tombs you visit the Valley of the Kings Tour will illuminate one of history's great civilisations.
