The mountains of Rwanda and Uganda hold some of the world’s most valuable treasures – the various groups of gorillas that can be found there. Even the most seasoned travellers consider the time they spend observing the mountain gorillas as amazing beyond comparison.
These lands also offer a variety of monkeys, baboons and chimpanzee as well. Bird lovers flock to the area to observe hundreds of varied species found here. For those that love butterflies, the region has the highest density of butterflies in the world with a variety of species and colours.
In Uganda, stay close to the impressive Murchison Falls where the Nile shoots out over a massive drop and pools below.
