Day 1 Rome – Assisi – Siena – Florence

Early departure from Rome via the Umbria and Tuscan countryside to the walled city of Assisi, before continuing to Sienna and finishing the day in the day at your hotel in renaissance Florence. D

Day 2 Florence

Enjoy a guided tour of Florence including Il Duomo, the Campanile Tower, the Palazzo Vecchio, and the Basilica of Santa Croce. A typical Tuscan lunch is followed by time on your own or an optional trip to Pisa. BL

Day 3 Florence – Bologna – Padua – Venice

Depart for Bologna, the city of food famous for its “porticos” and shopping streets before continuing to Padua, with Sant’Antonio’s Basilica. Later arrival to Venice: one of the most romantic and arguably the most beautiful cities built by man. BD

Day 4 Venice

A private water–taxi transfer to Piazza San Marco and “Skip the Line” tickets to visit St. Mark’s Basilica is followed by time to explore the“FloatingCity”. Afternoon roaming along Venice’s canals at your leisure followed by dinner and overnight at your hotel. B

Day 5 Venice – Montepulciano – Rome

Depart for Tuscany, renowned for landscapes, churches and castles as well as its delicious wines. Enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant before discovering Montepulciano, a rich historical medieval town and sample its “Nobile” wine and time to shop. Evening arrival in Rome to check in into your hotel. BL

Day 6 Rome

A day to discover the “Eternal City” including the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica with our exclusive “Skip the Line” access. The tour ends in St. Peter’s Square. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore the city at your own leisure. B

Day 7 Rome

Enjoy an energetic breakfast at your hotel before spending the day exploring Rome independently or by selecting one of our regular tours in the city or its surroundings. Return to the hotel for your last overnight in Rome. B

Day 8 Rome – Naples – Pompeii – Sorrento

Travel to Naples for a short panoramic tour enjoying the views over the Gulf of Naples with Vesuvius. Skip the line to visit the famous town of Pompeii; covered in AD79 by the infamous eruption of Vesuvius. Continue to Sorrento for dinner and overnight. BLD

Day 9 Sorrento – Capri – Sorrento

An exciting excursion to the island of Capri and visit the dreamy Blue Grotto on a small rowboat is followed by lunch and then time to roam the island at your own pace. Return to the mainland for dinner and your last overnight in
Sorrento. BLD

Day 10 Sorrento – Palermo

Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring Sorrento and in the afternoon head to the Port of Naples to where you will board the overnight ferry to Palermo. Let the waves rock you to sleep. Dinner and breakfast are not included on the ferry. B

Day 11 Palermo

Arrive in Palermo and make your own way to the hotel before spending the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy dinner in your hotel. D

Day 12 Palermo – Monreale – Palermo

Tour nearby Monreale, an ancient royal town famous for
its almonds, olive oil and citrus fruits, and fine Norman architecture. Take a walking tour of Palermo to discover its 3,000–year history. Enjoy free time before joining your group for dinner. BD

Day 13 Palermo – Erice – Saline della Laguna – Agrigento

Visit Erice, a 6th century village on the side of Monte
San Giuliano overlooking Trapani. Continue to Saline, an extraordinary lagoon. Enjoy lunch in a restaurant with views. Continue onto Agrigento for a tour of the ancient Greek monuments and ruins at the Valley of Temples. BLD

Day 14 Agrigento – Piazza Armerina – Ragusa Ibla – Ragusa

Start today with a visit to Piazza Armerina, a pretty and historic town nestled into the heart of Sicily. Depart for Ragusa and visit of the enchanting historical centre“Ibla” ,with its stunning baroque palaces and churches. BD

Day 15 Ragusa – Noto – Siracusa – Taormina

Travel to the picturesque fishing village of Noto, famous for its Baroque architecture before continuing to Syracuse and visit the Archaeological Park, with its Greek Amphitheatre, the Ear of Dionysus and the Roman Theatre. Later a visit to the island of Ortygia rich in Baroque churches and medieval palaces. Later arrive to Taormina for dinner and overnight. BD

Day 16 Taormina

Today an exciting visit to Mount Etna; the largest active volcano in Europe the highest mountain in Italy. If weather permits, you have a chance to climb to the summit (1800 m) before returning to Taormina and spend the rest of your day at leisure. BD

Day 17 Taormina

Enjoy one final breakfast before the tour comes to an end. B
