Chile’s breathtaking beauty and its multifaceted landscapes are among the most beautiful Latin America has to offer. There are the great Andes Mountain Range with volcanoes and snow-capped peaks, dry deserts, picturesque lonely fjords, giant salt lakes, lovely beaches, pristine forests, wild rivers, deep blue lakes and marvellous glaciers – all in the same country!
Arrive in Santiago and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy an afternoon city tour that includes Palacio de la Moneda, Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, the main post office, city hall and Cerro San Cristobal. Transfer back to the hotel.
Transfer to airport for a flight to Calama, followed by a drive to San Pedro de Atacama. Enjoy a tour of San Pedro then relax on an afternoon tour of Salt Mountain, Mars Valley (Death Valley) and Moon Valley to enjoy the sunset. Spend the night in San Pedro de Atacama. B
Depart hotel towards the Atacama Salt Flat and continue towards the altiplanic lagoons of Min?iques and Miscanti and see three species of native pink flamingos, then stop at the village of Toconao to see the white church of San Lucas – a building made from cactus wood. Afterwards, drive back to San Pedro for overnight stay. BL
Depart early for the Tatio geysers. Later spend time at the natural hot pools. Visit Machuca, a little village where local families dedicate their life to grazing and agriculture. Drive back to San Pedro de Atacama for spectacular views of the Torcopuri and Sairecabur volcanoes. Arrive in San Pedro around midday. Remainder of the day at leisure. B
Transfer from the hotel in San Pedro to the airport in Calama for your flight to Puerto Montt. Enjoy a tour of Puerto Montt en route to Puerto Varas, on the shore of Lake Llanquihue with impressive views of the Osorno volcano. B
Full-day tour of regions surrounding Puerto Varas, including the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes, driving along Lake Llanquihue and Saltos de Petrohue? (a collection of rapids and waterfalls). Drive back to hotel for overnight. B
Early departure towards Chiloe? Island by ferry, crossing the Chacao Channel. Visit the village of Quemchi and the area
of Aucar. Continue to Colo and Tenau?n, where you will see traditional houses decorated with native-wood roof tiles. In the city of Castro, see typical houses constructed on plots over the sea called ‘palafitos’, then stop at a traditional craft market. Return to Puerto Varas. B
Transfer from hotel to Puerto Montt Airport for your flight to Punta Arenas. On arrival, you and your local guide will take a public bus to Puerto Natales (3h). On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in town. Remainder of the day at leisure. B
Sail from Puerto Natales, visiting the beautiful Ultima Esperanza Fjord then arrive at the glacier of Mt Balmaceda, habitat of cormorants and sea lions. At the end of the fjord disembark and walk 1km on a path through native forest to the foot of Serrano Glacier and admire this natural wonder. Return to Puerto Natales. BL
Continue discovering Torres del Paine National Park. En route, visit Milodo?n Cave before seeing waterfall Salto Grande of the Pehoe River, with the impressive mountain massif of Torres del Paine in the background. Then visit Lake Pehoe and Lake Grey, from where you will see the Grey Glacier in the distance. Return to Puerto Natales. BL
Transfer from hotel to bus terminal for the drive to Punta Arenas Airport for your flight to Santiago. Arrive in Santiago and transfer to your hotel to enjoy an evening at leisure. B
